A journal full of all those things I wanted to say but never did.
Some people say that the best stories are based on a personal experience. To tell them from your point of view. But what do you do if the way things happened isn’t the same with what you wanted to happen? Is it a lie to tell your story and not the actual truth, when all you do is write a “relatable” journal?
Stories without those moments with repressed emotions and bottled feelings. Stories in which you feel more than ok that your characters told what was wrong; in which they told things upfront and never thought “what/how would’ve been if…”.
No one really wants to read about what one WOULD’VE done. They want to read about what they actually did. But really and truly… no one wants to read, let alone about the things we’ve never said, but wanted.
I’m just sayin. I might be wrong.
